Nigeria: Heartland FC Captain Dreams 2012/2013 League Title

The Captain of Heartland FC of Owerri, Chinedu Efugh, said on Saturday that his club was confident of a good performance to win the 2012/2013 football season.

The 2012/2013 Nigeria Premier League season, renamed the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, will kick off on March 9.

Efugh, said that the team was already undergoing intensified training sessions which they hoped would help it to emerge winners of the competition.

"We will not relent in our efforts until we achieve the desired result." (NAN)

"We did not do so well in the previous season and we are ready to play better as we are training and perfecting our game strategies for the new season," he said.

The skipper said that the team was ready for the league, adding that "our coaches have been doing a lot to improve on our style of play.

"The team has become more solid defensively and more formidable in the attack because of some of the new players that have joined us.

"And the level of our tactical awareness has improved. We have become a much more disciplined team," Efugh added. (NAN)
