Gusau — The Federal Government has earmarked N158 million to ensure safer mine activities in communities affected by lead poisoning in Zamfara State, Director Artisanal and Small Scale Mining, Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Mr O. C. Azubike, has said. Addressing newsmen in Gusau, Azubike said more individual mining artisans would be grouped to form additional mining cooperatives to ensure that every miner in the state is identified and documented.
