East Africa Portland Cement has returned to profitability to post 377 million shillings in pretax profit from 247 million shillings previously. Revenues however dropped by 8% to 4.5 billion shillings from 4.9 billion for the half year ended 31st December. Chairman Mark ole Karbolo says the company is looking ahead to further growth having suffered a staff strike last year that saw its shares suspended from trading at the NSE.
