The Shura Council approved during a session on Sunday 24/2/2013 under Speaker Ahmed Fahmy a report compiled by the Committee for Arab, Foreign Affairs and National Security and the office of the Legislative Affairs Committee on amending the law No.155 for 2005 to increase military pensions.
The newly-introduced amendments called for raising military pension by 20 percent with no maximum limit.
The step aims at promoting the principle of equality between military and civilian pensioners.
