Egypt: Irrigation Minister Calls for Water Rationalization

Minister of Irrigation Mohamed Bahaa el-Din urged citizens to rationalize the use of water and called for using water-saving technologies and reducing water wasted in all sectors.
With an ever-growing population, the per-capita share of water in Egypt will sure decrease, if not be scarce, the minister told a workshop on following up the consequences of climate change on water resources in Nile Basin countries.
