Gambia: Armed Forces Beat GPA

Gambia Armed Forces Saturday defeated Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) 2-0 in a first division league match played at the Box Bar Mini-Stadium in Brikama.

Lamin Simma opened the scoring as early as the eighth minute to give the soldiers an early lead. After Dawda Suso failed to extend the lead in the 19th minute when he missed from a Yafie Jadama counterattack, Buba Sama made sure of the three points with the winner just past the half-hour mark.

Coming into the second half, GPA desperately tried to force their way back into the game but it was never to be.
