Kenya: Ex-Student Held After Sneaking Into School

A former student at Kauma Secondary School in Matinyani district is being held for interrogation at the Kitui police station. He is alleged to have snuck  into his former school on Friday night with unclear motives. He sat for his KCSE in 2011.

Police source said a hawk eyed watchman spotted the ex-student as he chatted freely with students and arrested him.He handed him to Chief Bernard Muthami, who handed him to the police and who locked him up.

The principal Benard Mathuku said the former student was drunk.
