Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon met with the EU Envoy to Somali, Michele Cervone d'Urs, the British Ambassador to Somalia, Matt Baugh, and diplomats from the French embassy in Nairobi in Mogadishu on Sunday (February 24th) . Speaking to journalists subsequently, the Prime Minister said discussions had covered bilateral relation between Somalia and their respective countries as well as the strengthening of international support for Somalia. M. d'Urs said the group had encouraged the Somali government to strengthen its efforts over security and other government policies. Ambassador Matt Baugh reiterated the UK government's commitment to support the Somali government to stand on its own feet, urging it to strengthen judiciary system and financial management.
