Kenya: Winds Destroy Champaign Billboards in Runyenjes

Billboards erected on buildings in Runyenjes town in Embu county were at the weekend destroyed by heavy winds. The strong winds damaged several billboards erected by various candidates running in the March 4 elections.

Some of the billboard's were torn up while others had their metal frames broken. Others were blown away Candidates whose billboards were destroyed includes Njagi Kumantha, who is running for Embu governor on an UDF ticket. His billboard is erected on a building on the Embu-Runyenjes highway.

Another bill board destroyed includes of the Tourism assistant minister and former Runjenjes MP Cecilly Mbarire who is defending her seat on TNA ticket. Her billboard is erected on a building in the centre of the town. The other billboard that was destroyed belongs to a senator candidate on the Alliance Party of Kenya.
