Angola: Ceast Bishops Hold Assembly

Kuito — The chairperson of the Episcopal Conference of Angola and Sao Tome (CEAST), Dom Gabriel Mbilingi Monday in Huila province urged Catholic Christians and others to work toward safeguarding the church identity of the new communities.

Dom Gabriel Mbilingi, who is also archbishop of the Archdiocese of Huíla, said so at the opening of the Assembly gathering Bishops of Angola and Sao Tome.

The Church authority stressed the need for Christians to work on safeguarding of the religious entity countrywide, aimed at a social welfare in the communities.

During the session, the participants will also discuss aspects related to preparation for the next conference of CEAST 2014/2016.
