Angola: Artist Backs Effective Platform to Internationalize Literature

Havana — Angola should create in coming days an effective and efficient platform that enables the country internationalise its literature and other arts.

This was defended Sunday in Havana by artist Jorge Gumbe, at the closing ceremony of the International Book Fair.

The artist called for commitment by different publishers and all cultural agents in country.

He expressed believe that the fair helped launch a new foundation for continued and future work.

"We hope that in addition to the institutional and business relationship we can see the emerging and flourishing of artistic and cultural development in both directions, "he said.

Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, the artist said that Angola ended its participation in this event with great expectations on the future of relations with Cuba, particularly in the cultural field.
