2nd Luxor African Film Festival will kick off next month under the auspices of the Tourism Ministry with the support of the Foreign Affairs, Culture and Youth Ministries and Luxor City Hall.
Within this context, Chairman of the State Information Service (SIS) Ambassador Mohammed Badreddin Zayed pointed out that in light of the SIS belief that Egypt is a major part of Africa and as part of cooperation with the Tourism Ministry, the SIS has several missions promoting for this festival, topped by inviting all foreign press reporters to attend the activities of the festival.
About other missions, Ambassador Zayed said that the SIS will document the activities of the festival in the SIS's Egyptian Cinema Newspaper and will distribute its media and tourism productions on guests, which will highlight Egypt as a tourist destination.
The idea of Luxor African Film Festival came as an initiative by the Youth Foundation of Independent Artists for support and development. The first festival was held in February 2012, where 35 African states and more than 100 African guests participated.
