Angola: Governor Calls for Preservation of National Culture

Calandula-The governor of the northern Malanje province, Norberto dos Santos, called over the last weekend Kateco Kangola commune for local youth to continue to preserve the local and national culture, so as to maintain the moral values and habits.

The official said so in the ambit of a working visit that aimed to inaugurate the health centre and new facilities of the communal administration of Kateco Kangola.

According to him, the habits of the ancestors of Ngola Kiluanje and Nginga Mbande must not be lost, as well as permitting the exporting of other countries' culture in Angola.

He appealed for the respect to the local authorities so that the appointment of chieftains and resolution of traditional problems may always comply with the proper lineage.
