DENMARK premiership side, Odense BK has invited their former player Mwape Miti to travel to the Danish city this week for an unknown programme.
Former Chipolopolo striker Miti said yesterday in Kitwe that he would only know details of the invitation when he arrives in Denmark.
He said Odense, who first called to inform him about the invitation, have since sent him a ticket to fly to one of Denmark's oldest cities where he lived for nine years between 1997 and 2006.
"They phoned me and sent me tickets. I have to start off this week. I don't know their plan so I didn't even ask them - I will know when I get there. I am happy that those people still remember me," he said.
The 39-year-old Miti, who was a bronze medalist with Zambia at the 2006 Africa Cup in South Africa, retired from active soccer as an Odense player in 2006 after suffering a knee injury and the team accorded him a farewell match the same year.
The former Power Dynamos striker scored 109 goals in 246 games for Odense and emerged as top scorer in the Denmark premiership in 2004.
He joined Odense alongside Andrew Tembo on recommendation from former Chipolopolo coach Roald Poulsen in the Dane's second spell as coach at the three-time Denmark champions.
And FELIX MALUNGA reports that Zambia striker, Jacob Mulenga on Sunday proved again that he is still lethal in front of goal when he struck a brace in the Dutch side, FC Utrecht's 4-0 bashing of a 10-man Roda JC in the Eredivisie.
After a bright start to this match and creating early opportunities, Utrecht deservedly took the lead on 19 minutes when Mulenga converted from the penalty spot after Edouard was fouled in the box by Abel Tamata.
Referee, Reinold Wiedemeijer wasted no time to show Tamata red as Mulenga cashed in for his first goal.
Utrecht scored again through Jan Wuytens on 27 minutes and two minutes after restart by Tommy Oar.
Mulenga, who has now scored 11 times this season, completed his brace on 65 minutes when he shook off two defenders and netted past Roda goalkeeper, Filip Kurta.
Ivory Coast striker, Wilfried Bony of Vitesse Arnhem still leads the top scorers chart with 22 goals.
PSV Eindhoven leads the Ducth Eredivisie table on 50 points while Utrecht is sixth on 42 points.
