Tunisian producer Habib Mestiri has begun working on a new docu-drama about slain opposition party leader Chokri Belaid, La Presse reported on Sunday (February 24th).
The director has secured approval for the project from Belaid's Unified Democratic Patriots Party (PPDU) and his widow Besma Khalfaoui.
The Chokri Belaid killing on February 6th spurred a political crisis in the country, culminating in the resignation of Hamadi Jebali and the appointment of Ali Larayedh as prime minister.
