The Global Institute of Vocational Education (GIVE), a career vocational school under the auspices of Ambassador George Weah certificated about 75 students in various disciplines.
Speaking at the certification program at the Wells Hairston High School Campus last Saturday February 23, 2013 the Founding Chair -Liberia & USA Macdella Cooper Foundation, Madam Macdella Cooper urged the graduates to pursue their purpose and be willing to contribute to the suffering masses.
Madam Cooper, a career beautician who is presently catering to hundreds of street children in Liberia cautioned the graduates to ask where the certificates would place them in the society, adding, what difference an individual will make with his/her achievement.
The honored guest who own and operate the Macedela Cooper Foundation, a non-profit organization has pledged her Foundation's full support to partner with Global Institute of Vocational Education, a tuition free institution under the sponsorship of Ambassador Weah.
Speaking earlier, the Executive Officer of the institute, Mr. Dave Wonders Wreyou ll, called on other Liberians to be innovative, adding, "Any time we name an institution on any famous figure in our society we must be in position to design program that will sustain it."
However, he made a call to all well meaning Liberian to assist the institute as the administration's aim is to fight against the high rate of illiteracy in the country so speedy development can follow.
The Global Institute of Vocational Education was founded in Ghana to provide career opportunity for Liberian refuges. This year's certification program making the 10th graduation exercises.
