Tunisia: 'Republican Party Will Not Participate in Next Cabinet' - Maya Jeribi

Tunis — Secretay-General of the Republican Party (RP) Maya Jeribi affirmed on Tuesday that she had told Prime Minister-designate Ali Larayedh that her party did not intend to participate in the future cabinet, and called for the need to secure the neutrality of sovereign ministries.

Speaking at the end of her meeting with Ali Larayedh at Dar Dhiafa, in Carthage, Maya Jeribi said the serious situation the country is living through required to enforce a new form of governance and extend a reassuring message to Tunisia's people.

"The success of next stage requires to fight against violence, dissolve the revolution protection leagues, set a date for the elections and finish off drafting the Constitution", she added.
