VISITING Chaani women's side humiliated hosts Mikindani Eaglets at their own backyard, beating them 3-1 in an entertaining match over the weekend.
Eaglets failed to utilise home advantage despite the high number of fans who turned up to cheers them at Mikindani Catholic Church ground. The hosts were poor from the onset as the visitors ran rings on them.
Eaglets gave their fans a ray of hope in the 20th minute through midfielder Caroline Chepkorir who capitalised on a free kick near the opponents' goal post.
But their celebration was short-lived as Chaani's Priscilla Obiero headed into the net a corner kick from striker Amina Mwamela to tie the game 1-1 at halftime.
The visitors dominated the game in the second half, marking out Chepkorir with Mwamela giving her team a second goal in the 44th minute. The combination of Obiero and Mwamela proved fruitful in the second half giving rise to the third score in the 66th minute, only four minutes to the final whistle.
