Tamara Britten has been in the Kenyan travel industry for long having worked at the Maasai Mara running a camp in the legendary tourist haven. She is also a writer with a masters in creative writing with numerous pieces to her name.
Two years ago she decided to combine her passion for travel and writing and compiled an accommodation guide for the country. She came up with the Karibu Kenya Accommodation guide which has listed slightly over 850 places to stay all around Kenya.
The book was launched last Saturday at the writer's home in Kitisuru, Nairobi with a hip crowd in attendance. ABC Mercury Lounge's David "DJ Delite" Muriithi entertained the guests. Among those in attendance were veteran author Marjorie Oludhe-Macgoye and Storymoja CEO and author Muthoni Garland.
The book is available in all Text Book Centres countrywide and retails at Sh2,500.
