Kenya: Knut Is Non-Partisan, Says Sossion

Knut chairman Wilson Sossion has said the union will not back any presidential candidate.

Sossion said the union respects its members democratic right to choose a presidential candidate of their choice.

"All our teachers are free to support whoever they want to but as a union we will not push for the election of any candidate during the march 4 elections," he said while closing a teachers workshop in Bomet on Saturday.

Sossion was with acting national treasurer Richard Kibagendi and Knut Bomet acting executive secretary Malel Langat.

"The union is however obliged to work with any government that is elected by Kenyans," added Sossion.
