Ottawa — The Angolan plastic artists Yara Vasconcelos presented on Monday in Toronto, Canada, her art exhibition entitled Raizes focused on the Angolan daily life and the Human figure, Angop has learnt.
The 27-paint exhibition represents images such as Serra da Leba, the Mumuila woman, the Pensador (The Thinker figure), among others.
Yara Vasconcelos who resides in Toronto, told Angop that the theme tells her source of inspiration, linked to her Angolan origin.
The exposition is part of the commemorations of the month of Africa and of the black culture that is being commemorated in the United States and in Canada, throughout February. It is her first individual work.
