Angola: Vice-President Meets Sao Tomean Ambassador

Luanda — The Vice-president of the Republic, Manuel Domingos Vicente, met on Tuesday in Luanda the ambassador of Sao Tome and Principe to Angola, Damião Vaz de Almeida, who gave him a message from the Sao Tomean Head of State, Pinto da Costa for his Angolan counterpart José Eduardo dos Santos.

Speaking to the press at the end of the meeting, the diplomat said that the message underlined the friendship and solidarity between the two states, highlighting the traditional relations of cooperation between the people of Angola and Sao Tome and Principe.

Damião Vaz de Almeida added, with the Vice-president of the Republic, it was assessed the cooperation rate with the two countries, considered positive and healthy, underlining that there are assumptions for more dynamic relations.

The diplomat said that his government wants to encourage the entrepreneurs of Sao Tome and Principe for greater energetic partnership with Angolans, pointing out the sectors of tourism and education.
