Angola: Irsem to Spend Over AKZ One Billion On Reintegration Programmes

Lubango — The Institute of Social Reintegration of Ex-Combatants in Huila province (IRSEM) will spend this year 1billion Kwanzas in reintegration programmes of 1,578 demobilised and their families.

The information was released Tuesday to Angop by the provincial director of institute, Fernando Kalunga, who underlined that the action is part of the central government programme intended to reinforce the reintegration of ex-soldiers.

The official said that the amount will be earmarked for purchase of plows, cattle traction and animal promotion, machetes, hoes, corn and bean seeds and various vegetables to benefit ex-combatants resident in the districts of Kuvango, Quipungo, Jamba and Matala.

According to him, IRSEM wants also implement six projects in the fields of agriculture, vocational training, trade, and purchase of various equipment.
