Angola: Governor Briefed On 'March-Women' Celebration

Saurimo — The governor of the eastern Lunda Sul province Candida Narciso Monday in Saurimo received the MP of National Assembly Angelina Adolfo Macai from whom she learned of the programme of activity called "March-Women", underway nationwide.

According to the governor, the visit by the representative of the Group of National Assembly's Women Parliamentarians is intended to mobilise society in the province on gender issues.

The official underlined that the programme covers activities that will contribute to greater and best cohesion in the works performed by female institutions and organisations as well as promoting women's empowerment.

Cândida Narciso pledged the government's support the activities ahead of the month dedicated to women.

In her turn, Angelina Adolfo Macai was pleased with the attention the authorities pay to the said programme, whose the public presentation will take place on Wednesday, 27th.
