Nigeria: Yero Visits Zangon Kataf Over Night Killings

Kaduna, Gombe, Kano — Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero of Kaduna state yesterday visited Aduwan Gida village in Zangon Kataf local government area of the state over last Saturday's killing of six persons by unknown gunmen.

A statement by the governor's Director-General Media and Publicity, Ahmad Maiyaki said the governor during his visit condemned the attack and described it as unwarranted. The governor promised to ensure that those behind the attacks are arrested and prosecuted accordingly.

The governor after visiting the families of the affected persons also paid a condolence visit to the Agwam Bajju, Malam Nuhu Bature at his palace where he reassured the traditional ruler of his administration commitment to safeguarding the lives and properties of the entire people of the state. The governor also visited victims of the attack receiving treatment at St. Louis Hospital, Zonkwa and directed that those with severe injuries be transferred to the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna.
