26 February 2013
Some 70% of the troops pledged by African countries for the International Support Mission in Mali (AFISMA) have been deployed, PANA quoted Côte d'Ivoire Foreign Minister Charles Koffi Diby as saying Monday (February 25th) in Abidjan.
Speaking to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Mediation and Security Council, Diby said that African troops would progressively replace the French forces that launched the Mali military campaign against armed Islamist and terrorist groups.
