Prime Minister Hisham Qandeel stressed Tuesday 26/2/2013 that Egypt attaches great importance to boosting ties with Sudan in the various domains and broadening the scope of bilateral cooperation.

During his meeting with Sudanese Minister of Electricity and Water Resources Osama Abdalla and his accompanying delegation, Qandil said "Sudan represents a strategic depth to Egypt and vice versa."

Qandil highlighted the strong historical relations that bind the peoples of the two nations.

He reiterated the importance of pushing development rates in the Nile Basin countries, pointing out that Egypt supports development efforts in these states through a set of investment projects, technical cooperation and capacity improvement programs.
