Egypt: Investigation Shows No Criminal Suspicion in Balloon Crash
27 February 2013
Preliminary investigations have revealed that a hot air balloon crash that killed 19 tourists on Tuesday was not due to a criminal act.
A hot air balloon carrying 21 passengers crashed in Luxor on Tuesday as a result of a mid-air gas explosion 300 meters above land.
According to the state news agency, four prosecution teams were formed to follow up on the accident, hear witness accounts and watch the developments closely.
