Nigeria: PDP Demands Full Implementation of 2013 Budget

Nigeria's ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has urged all government agencies to ensure full implementation of the 2013 budget, which was signed into law by President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday evening.

The party commended the president and the leadership of the National Assembly for the successful signing of the budget. It said the delay in the signing the budget was because the President and the PDP-led National Assembly wanted a thorough budget that would be in the best interest of the country.

The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, said in a statement on Wednesday that the party is highly impressed by the role played by the president in the passage of the budget.

The party also commended the Senate President, David Mark; and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal; for their roles in ensuring an understanding between the two arms of government on the budget.

The party also applauded the Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters, Joy Emordi, for her effort in ensuring that all differences on the budget were resolved.

The PDP urged the executive to ensure proper implementation of the budget and charged the National Assembly to strengthen its oversight capacity to guarantee effective utilisation of resources.

The party thanked Nigerians for their calmness and patience even in the face of what it described as inciting statements from opposition groups.

Who is PDP admonishing to ensure the 2013 is fully implemented . ? This party is indeed an actor and by all means an insult to intelligent citizens . How can the very party whose members make up about 90 % of ruthless looters and shameless law breakers in both the Senate and House Members turn round to admonish minority members to ensure the current national budget is fully implemented ? Each time I hear this garbage , I expect minority party leaders will tell Mr President and his looting gang in government to shup up and make an unconditional apology to the nation for babysitting the carnage of the nations treasury with audacity for many years. It is the same President that made sure all of his army of ruthless looters and the chief protectors, he refused to remove from the NNPC despite public outrage kept watch over his carnage of the nations petroleum income which they turned into piggy bag over the years. What an insult to admonish the looters and rouges who are his own men to do what ? This man have no recolective memory to take stock at his own breaches and make amends no matter what have been said . He seem to relish in bribing his array of town cryers to make funny claims of imaginary successes in an economy that tell the whole story about dummy future with today as gloomy as never seen in the history of any imerging economy with so much waste. It is clear this man have no clue of what the nation elected him to do and will never have one cos his capacity to do so is extremely limited . The nation will have no life or future untill this goofy is out come year 2013.
