Egypt Govt Starts Efforts to Eradicate Locust Swarms

The Egyptian government said on Wednesday that it has started a comprehensive campaign to eradicate the first appearing of locust swarms in Nubia.

Locust swarms had started appearing in November of last year in an annual seasonal migration by the Red Sea in Egypt.

The cabinet said in a statement on its Facebook page that engineers and effort forces from the Agricultural Ministry are doing their best to eradicate the swarms.

Coordination with the defence ministry is also ongoing to spray them.
