Kenya: Amwik Rallies for Women

THE Association of Media Women in Kenya yesterday held series of rallies in Samburu counties to drum up support for female candidates to boost chances of victory in the March 4 election.

The organisation officials also supported women candidates in Laikipia, Samburu and Pokot areas in unveiling their manifesto by articulating and addressing challenges faced by women the region.

A project officer with the organisation, Joyce Nyaruai, said the drive will increase chances by pastoral women to ascend to positions of power.
