A women's representative candidate has pledged to set up a special university for the disabled persons in Busia if elected on Monday. Julia Ojiambo said education is a catalyst for development.
Speaking in Busia town at the weekend, the Labour Party of Kenya chairperson said she will fight to ensure that women rights are protected as enshrined in the Constitution.
She said Busia lags behind because it lacks visionary leaders "to take it to the next level". Ojiambo promised to upgrade Bumbe Technical Training into a university.
