Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero is on his way back to Kano from London, sources have informed Daily Trust.

The Emir is said to already be airborne and will arrive in Kano later on Wednesday.

He and two of his sons were flown to the United Kingdom on January 20 after an attempt on his life a day previously. Though he was unhurt, the 83-year-old monarch was said to have gone for treatment for trauma.

Nigeria's High Commissioner to the United Kindom, Dr Dalhatu Tafida had told Daily Trust on February 7 that the Emir had recovered fully.
