Nyala — Fed-up with the increased frequency of armed attacks in Nyala, its residents are demanding South Darfur's authorities to boost security provision in the city and protect their lives and properties.

The city saw three different incidents in the last few days in which two people were killed and the director of a Qatar charity agency was attacked inside his house, sources told Radio Dabanga.

The first incident happened on Monday at the Sedal Ali neighborhood of South Darfur's capital, in which gunmen opened fire on a young man killing him on the spot, they recounted.

In the second event, a civilian was shot dead by unidentified perpetrators near his house in a Nyala neighborhood that is resided by several police officers, witnesses said.

On Tuesday three masked gunmen entered the house of the director of a Qatar charity located in a central district in Nyala. The perpetrators tied the victim up and looted his home, mobile phone and fled in his vehicle, according to sources.
