Asaba — Security operatives in Delta State have identified and dismantled a kidnappers' training schools, where they are trained to carry out criminal activities, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, has said.
Speaking in Asaba, Uduaghan said, "We have been able to identify hot spots and schools where kidnappers are trained and we have dismantled the spots",
The governor added that the state government is working with security agents in the state to flush out criminals.
On the crisis rocking Egbema/Gbramatu communities near Warri, the governor said people of the area are struggling for control of the largesse from Chevron multinational company.
"As much as possible, we will try not to interfere in what they are doing except if it borders on security. So far we are watching them, but if it degenerates into something else, the state government will have no option than to intervene", he said.
He therefore urged members of the communities to elect their leaders without creating problems for the state.
