Kenya: KWS Blamed for Killing Tsavo of Jumbos
Taita Taveta governor candidates have blamed corruption by Kenya Wildlife Service offic- ers for the rising cases of elephant poaching in Tsavo National park.
Jacinta Mwatela, Elija Mwandoe, Sophy Kibai and Mwanyengela Ngali told tourism players from the region that poachers collude with corrupt KWS officials. The four were speaking during a governors' debate at the Sarova Taita Hills Game Lodge. The debate was organ- ised by the Kenya Association of Hotel Keepers and Caterers.
