A 10-year old girl was stabbed to death after she was defiled while her sibling is nursing severe injuries at Mulago referral hospital.

The sickening incident happened in Nansaka village, Butuntumula sub county of Luweero district.

The father of the deceased, Joseph Nankunda, said the children were grazing cattle near their home after returning from school when a man attacked them. He said the assailant identified as Kiwoma, first hacked the boy, Robert Kanaani, 10 who collapsed and appeared dead. The assailant then attacked the girl and defiled her before he stabbed her in her private parts, killing her instantly.

Nankunda said the assailant, a resident of Kyankima village, was arrested. The luweero police criminal investigations chief, Ben Kiwanuka, said a sniffer dog traced the assailant to Buvuma in Nakasongola where he was arrested from.

Meanwhile a little girl in Bwaise, on the outskirts of Kampala, was defiled before her assailants wrung her neck, killing her instantly.
