Kenya: Mututho Assets to Be Auctioned

Former MP John Mututho's property will be auctioned to pay for a Sh13.5 million debt. Mutula Kilonzo and Company Advocates is demanding 13.5 million for representing Mututho in a petition after the 2007 general election.

High Court deputy registrar FR Wangila ordered that the execution of the auction after Mututho failed to comply with the earlier order to pay the law firm Sh6 million legal fees by the end of February.

Wangila had earlier directed Mututho to pay the Sh6 million within a week ending yesterday and a monthly payment of Sh1 million till the rest of the money is cleared.
