Angola: International Handball Federation Chairman Expected Monday in Luanda

Luanda — The chairman of the International Handball Federation (IHF), Mustapha Hassan, is expected on Monday (March 04) in Luanda, for a four-day work visit, during which he is to hold meetings with the Angolan sports officials, ANGOP has learnt.

According to the programme, in the first day of his arrival, Mustapha Hassan- who will be accompanied by the chairman of the Confederation of African Handball (CAHB), Aremou Manserou- Segundo o programa, no primeiro dia em solo angolano, e acompanhado do presidente da Confederação Africana de Andebol (CAHB), Aremou Manserou, will learn about the state of this sport in Angola.

Mustapha Hassan is to hold meetings, in Luanda, with the board of the Angolan Handball Federation (FAAND) and the Angolan Olympic Committee (COA).

On Tuesday morning it is scheduled an audience with the minister of Youth and Sports, Gonçalves Muandumba, and the governor of Luanda, Bento Bento, as well as a visit to the headquarters of the 1º de Agosto and Petro de Luanda clubs.

The IHF official is also to visit the Arena Pavilion of Luanda, which is being built in the Camama ward, and which will host the World Roller-Skate Hockey Championship, on 20-28 September, this year.

Angolan female handball is one of the main representatives of Africa in world championships of this sport and Olympic Games, having conquered eleven African titles in senior females category and six titles in junior females category.
