Soyo — The first national secretary of the ruling MPLA party's youth wing (JMPLA), Sérgio Luther Rescova Joaquim highlighted the churches' role in the awareness of citizens and combat practices that endanger the peaceful coexistence in society.
Sérgio Joaquim was speaking during the 11th National Holiday Camp of University Students (Canfeu), running from 25 February to March 2 in Soyo, northern Zaire province.
The national secretary of JMPLA spoke to journalists on issues related to youth, their social integration, employment, academic and technical professional training, citizenship, civility, ethics, religion, among other topics.
During the 25 minute-dialogue the politician said many churches have contributed responsibly to the education of young Angolans.
Similar event has taken place in the provinces of Huambo, Uíge, Kuando Kubango, Kwanza Norte, Benguela, Bié, Kwanza Sul, Huíla, Cabinda and Lunda Sul.
