Angola: Calandula, Okavango Tourist Development Attracts Stock Exchange

Lisbon — The tourist development sites of Calandula and Okavango Basin are on the limelight of the visitors at stock exchange, opened on Wednesday in International Fair of Lisbon, Portugal.

The Angolan stand at the event integrates 12 tourism operators including the Angolan Airline Company (TAAG).

The information was released by the director of the press office of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Jorge Lucéu Calado.

The mentioned stand also has touristic potentialities, such as hotels, improvement of the roads of access to various areas, among others aspects related to the construction.

Calandula tourist site, located in northern Malanje province, is intended to boost the internal tourism, in an area of 20 kilometers of land reserve for the construction of economic zones.

While, Okavango basin is locate in South-eastern Kuando-Kubango province in an area of 11,972 hectares, whose goal is to reduce poverty, through integration of the communities with creation of jobs.
