Angola: Uíge Gets Over 6000 Connections of Plumbed Water

Luanda — The city of Uíge will benefit in the coming days from more than 6000 home connection of plumbed water in the urban área and implantation of some fountains in the peripheral zones, under the project aimed to improve the water supply in this locality, being carried out by the Ministry of Energy and Water.

This was said to Angop on Friday by the incumbent minister, João Baptista Borges, after returng from the northern Uíge province, where during two days he checked the situation related to the water and power supply in the localities of Uíge, Mucaba, Bungo, Damba and

Maquela do Zombo.

"Regarding water supply, we have been developing some actions in the city of Uíge, so as to improve this situation both in the urban and peripheral areas, and there is a project to commence in the coming days", said the minister.

According to him, other actions are being developed so that this year it may be launched projects that will permit to supply water to the localities of Damba, Quitexe, Bungo and Mucaba.
