Chairman of the State Litigation Authority Counselor Mohamed Abdel-Azim announced in an interview with Al-Ahram newspaper on 2/3/2013 that the Justice Ministry hasn't sent a draft law to the authority regarding judicial mediation for reconciliation in some disputes.
What was published by the media made the counselors of the authority worried, because it underestimates the authority's responsibilities mentioned in the constitution. The authority will announce its final opinion of the bill after studying it.
About tension that is reflected in the relation between the Justice Ministry and State Litigation Authority, the Chairman said that the relation is good between the authority and the ministry and it is based on mutual respect and cooperation, regardless of some differences on legal issues that sometimes occur.
About Egypt's looted money, the counselor said that no one can evaluate its exact amount as it was smuggled abroad in secret accounts. A large amount of the money reached Cayman Islands and Bahamas Banks.
