Zimbabweans to Set Presidential Term Limits At Referendum

The Constitution Parliamentary Select Committee (COPAC) has officially adopted the Final Draft Constitution of Zimbabwe which will be tabled for a referendum on March 16, 2013. Key issues at stake for electorates to decide on include a law to set presidential term limits and abolish the head of state's immunity for the first time.

The Constitution select Committee (COPAC) of Zimbabwe after a successful mobilization of funds began a one week publicity campaign to educate citizens about the Constitution in various parts of the country ahead of the referendum.

After the referendum, the draft is expected to be taken back to Parliament to constitutionalise the Constitution Bill.
