Kenya: Provisonal Results Released So far

Othaya town was yesterday in a carnival mood after Mary Wambui won the parliamentary seat. Wambui who was vying on TNA ticket was declared winner with 16, 285 votes while Peter Kinga'ara who garnered 14,218 and Gichuki Mugambi with 10,972 were second and third respectively. In Nyeri town Esther Murugi has been declared the winner.

Meanwhile provisional results streaming in for the governor's position show that in Machakos county Alfred Mutua is leading with 137,594 votes, against Wavinya Ndeti's 47194, Anthony Mwau 2,811 and Thomas Nzioki 2604.

In the senators race, in Busia County Amos Wako is leading with 9,692 votes. In Elgeyo Marakwet Kipchumba Murkomen is leading with 8,338 followed by Nicholas Biwott at 3075 votes. In Nairobi county, Mike Sonko is leading with 127,848, against Margaret Wanjiru who has garnered 84,266 and Stanely Livondo with 2,878.
