Kenya: Samsung Signs Mitsumi for Africa Distribution

Samsung electronics has contracted Kenyan- based, Mitsumi to be its official IT products distributor across Sub-Sahara Africa.

The deal announced yesterday is part of Samsung Africa's ongoing market development strategy to enhance its product availability.

Mitsumi Distribution will afford Samsung Electronics access to more than 19 African Countries where it serves.

"This agreement not only enables us to expend our logistical footprint, but leverage on an established African distributor and support network," said Samsung Electronics Africa IT solutions director Thierry Boulanger.

Mitsumi has been been retailing Samsung products in only East and Central Africa in a deal entered in February last year.
