Nigeria: JNI Condemns Persecution of Muslim Women Over Hijab

Kaduna — Jama'atu Nasril Islam yesterday rose from its annual central meeting in Kaduna condemning the persecution of Muslim women in some states for wearing hijab.

In a statement by its Secretary-General, Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu said "Muslims are still being denied their constitutional rights to practice their religion unhindered and are even being persecuted in some instances as recently witnessed in some parts of the country.
