Kenya: Former MPs Make a Come-Back

Former Members of Parliament Samuel Moroto of Kapenguria constituency and Philip Rotino of Sigor constituency have managed to reclaim their seats that they lost in 2007 general elections.

Moroto who was eyeing the seat on KANU ticket was declared the winner by Kapenguria returning officer Paul Chemtut at 1.30pm with 15159 votes followed by Charles Chetadum (URP) 9182 Philemon Lotudo (ODM)8378 and John Monte (Narc Kenya ) came last with 23334 votes. Rotino who was vying for the seat on URP ticket was declared the winner in Sigor constituency with 8,941.
