Egypt Participates in Ministerial Arab ICT Talks in Qatar

Communications and Information Technology Minister Atef Helmi participates on Thursday 07/03/2013 in the 33rd session of the Executive Bureau of the Arab ICT Council of Ministers held in Doha, Qatar.

The meeting is to tackle a number of topics and issues that concern the Arab world in the fields of ICT. Arab ministers shall address results of meetings of the work groups affiliated with the Arab Permanent Committee for ICT, a statement from the ministry said.

Furthermore, discussions are to tackle means to activate the road map of internet governance in the Arab world, the statement added.

The Executive Bureau of the Arab ICT Council of Ministers is charged with the task of following up and implementing the decisions of the Arab ICT Council of Ministers. This is achieved through the Arab Permanent Committees, in addition to work groups affiliated to the Council.
