Egypt: Foreign Ministry, UN Officials Discuss Providing Aid to Syrian Refugees in Egypt

Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister Amr Ramadan met on Thursday 7/3/2013 United Nations World Food Program (WFP) Country Director and Representative in Egypt GianPietro Bordignon and WFP Regional Emergency Coordinator for Syria and neighboring countries Muhannad Hadi.

The talks tackled providing food aid for the Syrian refugees in Egypt; where an extra budget of $3.6 million has been set for the purpose of covering the needs of 20,000 Syrian refugees living in Egypt.

The meeting also reviewed providing additional funding to Egypt's School Nutrition Program that worth $30 million, Ramadan said.
